DECONTAMINATION KIT INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Locate a safe, flat terrain approximately 10’ x 30’ (3.m x 9.m) for the decontamination site. 2. Remove poly drum lid. 3. Spread plastic poly sheet over the area. 4. Inflate containment pond, which are primary containment units. 5. Place socks around containment pond on poly sheet as secondary containment. 6. Remove sprayers and wash brushes from poly drum. 7. Fill sprayers with appropriate solution based on contaminates. CAUTION: Use ONLY ONE SOLUTION PER SPRAYER. DO NOT mix Decon Solutions together in sprayer. 8. Place sprayers and wash brushes near primary containment units. 9. Use wash brushes with Decon Solutions to decontaminate contaminated articles and protective clothing. WARNING: DO NOT use Decon Solutions to decontaminate human skin. 10. Repeat Step 9 as needed. 11. Upon final decontamination of all contaminated items, AQUALOCKIT® Polymer may be used to gel pH neutral liquids for safer handling and transportation. 12. Dispose of all hazardous wastes and spent Decontamination Kit contents in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. NOTE: Depending on the size and extent of the Decontamination Zone required, additional equipment may be needed. Recommended application use only as directed.

WARNING: Decon Solutions are not intended for use on human skin. Decon Solutions are recommended for use with general groups of hazardous materials. In case of a spill, obtain additional assistance from the manufacturers of the spilled materials (if available), a poison control center, medical specialists, etc. to assist in determining the best Decon Solution to use.

Specifications: Decon Solution 1: Used as the first wash for unknown contaminants such as inorganic acids, metal processing wastes, solvents and organic materials, PBBs (Polybrominated Biphenyls), PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) and etiological materials. Decon Solution 2: Used as the second wash for unknown contaminates and etiological materials such as heavy metals (mercury, lead, cadmium, etc.), pesticides, chlorinated phenols, dioxins, cyanides, ammonia and non-acid inorganic wastes. Decon Solution 3: Used as the third wash for unknown contaminants such as solvents and organic compounds, PBBs, PCBs, oils and greases or unspecified wastes not suspected to be contaminated with pesticides. Can also be used as a general-purpose rinse for Decon Solutions 1 and 2. Decon Solution 4: Used for base and caustic contaminants such as organic bases, alkali and caustic wastes. Decon Solution 5: Used for the final wash down for Decon Solutions 1, 2, 3, and 4.

HOW TO USE AQUALOCKIT®: 1. Evacuate employees from the spill area, if necessary. 2. Wear personal protective equipment compatible with chemicals involved. 3. Ventilate the contaminated area. 4. Determine if the contaminated water, sludge, neutralized acids or bases, etc. are pH neutral (pH 6-7). 5. Sprinkle some of the AQUALOCKIT® onto the neutral spill. 6. Allow the AQUALOCKIT® to absorb the pH neutral liquid. 7. Collect the used AQUALOCKIT® by sweeping, vacuuming, shoveling, etc. 8. Place the used AQUALOCKIT® into a temporary disposal device. 9. Dispose of all used articles according to local, state, and federal regulations. NOTE: AQUALOCKIT® Solidifier will not gel spills that are not pH neutral. It is strongly recommended that KOLOR-SAFE® Dry or Liquid Neutralizer be used to neutralize the spill prior to use of AQUALOCKIT® for maximum performance.

Decontamination Kit complies with D.O.T. Regulations.
